Meet Jacquie Kahindo: The Game-changer behind Haleina, a taboo-breaking business.

During our recent Graduation Ceremony, Jacquie Kahindo delivered a standout pitch at the panel. She didn’t just present well; she introduced a groundbreaking business idea that’s never been seen in our community before.

Her outstanding work earned her the first prize at the ceremony.

Business name? Haleina.

What is Haleina about?

Haleina is a startup that produces a natural mouthwash designed to tackle the problem of bad breath by eliminating the bacteria responsible for it.

Why now?

In our community, bad breath is a real yet often ignored issue. Many people suffer from it, but it’s rarely talked about due to stigma and embarrassment. This silence affects self-esteem and confidence. Haleina was created to break this taboo, restore confidence, and help people smile again, freely.

Who is Jacquie Kahindo?

Jacquie is more than just an entrepreneur, she’s someone who understands the silent struggles of others.

She’s a game-changer from the 10th Cohort of Promise Hub, known for her curiosity and strong sense of purpose. Jacquie is passionate about health, dignity, and community well-being. She shared how a close friend used to avoid conversations and social events because of bad breath. Seeing how much it affected that person’s confidence deeply moved her. That’s when the idea for Haleina was born: a product created not just to fix a problem, but to give people back their self-esteem.

Why choose Haleina over other mouthwash products?

Haleina is a 100% natural mouthwash, locally made from cloves, cinnamon, and peppermint oil. Unlike chemically made alternatives, Haleina offers a safe, plant-based solution to bad breath.

How is Haleina used?

Haleina is intended to be used twice a day, five days a week. After brushing your teeth, pour 10ml of Haleina, swish it around your mouth and throat for one minute, then spit it out.

Haleina is not a replacement for toothpaste. Instead, it complements it. While toothpaste cleans and protects the teeth, it often doesn’t fully address the problem of bad breath. That’s where Haleina comes in.

Important: Do not swallow Haleina. While it’s not harmful, swallowing it regularly may cause stomach discomfort over time.

What’s next?

Jacquie is seeking investment opportunities to enhance her product, making it more affordable and accessible for everyone in the community. Her ambition is to take her solution to the global market.
